We advise on compliance with the complex body of Mexican and international treaties’ laws and regulations surrounding the financing, operation and ownership of companies and other business enterprises, as well as on tax issues which such transactions may raise.

Alanís, Serrano & Doblado assists clients involved in international trade and in seeking business entry into Mexico and foreign markets. Employing our knowledge on trade law, we are helping clients establish new markets in Mexico, the United States and Latin America, among other locations. We have successfully structured international joint ventures linking future-oriented companies in Mexico, the United States, Latin America and Europe. Our firm represents U.S. exporters and foreign producers seeking to maintain and improve access to Mexican markets.

We assist in the development and implementation of strategies for the entry of foreign business to Mexican markets, and provide general corporate, commercial and business representation. This work includes transactional advice such as counsel on joint ventures and assistance in technology licensing.  In addition hereto, we examine the impact of federal laws on foreign investment and counsel companies on project financing through multilateral development institutions.  Furthermore, our firm counsels clients on the availability of special tariff provisions, domestic-content requirements for tariff preference systems, execution of international sale-of-goods agreements, customs procedures and country-of-origin marking or labeling requirements.
